Orchid

Well it has happened, my gorgeous orchid bloomed again. I wanted to share the pics. Look Georgia O'Keefe!....LOL

This was a perfect time for the orchid to bloom. It is cold and snowy here today....

Can't wait for vacation.

Lori's Christmas

This past weekend I spent it over my very good friend Lori's house. I arrived with the house filled with wonderful smells of stuffed cabbage, turkey, and many other delights. Many of these dishes were missed by me because of my South Beach diet binge. When Cheri, Lori's sister arrived, we had our (Christmas) with the exchanging of gifts, laughter and drinks. Lori and her sister Cheri have a game to see you can make me cry first. Yup, I am a crier. It is quite annoying. Us-We? girls had a great time at Lori's cousin restaurant were we ate, drank, and were very merrily harassing the other patrons!

Saturday was all a flurry of friends and family talking, laughing and eating. Many people were her cousins and their grandkids, oh, don't forget the dogs! We had a wonderful time cooking together getting everything prepared with the hopes of a eventful evening.

Sunday came upon me with the gorgeous sunlight and the pouching of the dogs, Satchel and Bear. Wake up! Wake up! they say to me with licks and wet noses. Move your worthless soul. Breakfast of low carb yogurt and stuff cabbage...Yum!

Here are some highlights of all the wonderful people and pretty food we prepped. And oh, Lori won, she was the first to make me cry.....LOL

Cold Blustery Day

It is freezing out side here in the Syracuse area and I started off wanted to go to Target and the craft store for more yarn but when I took the dogs out I said no way! So I decide to have a nice warm breakfast and a wonderful salad for lunch. I dined and watched Julie and Julia which is very good. I finished one of my cotton bunnies and started a new, should I put him on Etsy.com/flower91 or Artfire.com/MagentaBlue store?

My question for the day: Will my gorgeous white orchid ever bloom again?

Afternoon luncheon

Had a wonderful time visiting with my friend Nancy. Conversation, huge salad, tuna and a delicious Lemon Ricotta Cheesecake. Unfortunately it is from the South Beach diet and not a luscious as it could be but still very tasty.

I have sold vintage items for many years on Ebay but in this new decade have turned my attention to my more creative side. I am a mother of 2 grown children, well my son is somewhat grown up...LOL.
